My primary medium is milk paint on wood. Milk paint is an extremely ancient medium dating back to ancient Egypt. Early American colonists used it on everything from furniture to barns. It is not as easy to control as oil or acrylic paint, which may account for its infrequent use in fine art. Once finished however, a work created with milk paint has a unique look and is extremely durable. In addition to milk paint, I often add marker, oil stick, colored pencil, and anything else that feels appropriate, thus creating true mixed media works. In this gallery I have also added myself into the mix. The photos span a number of years, but they're all me!
